(Transformational FP&A Systems & Automation Role — WoodWing)
The Sr. Financial Systems Analyst is a high‑impact, transformational role within WoodWing’s Finance organization. You will serve as the technical backbone of FP&A, owning key financial systems, data models, integrations, and automated reporting flows that power decision‑making across the company.
Based in Malaysia and managed remotely from Amsterdam, this role requires someone who is proactive, highly autonomous, technically strong, and passionate about building scalable financial data infrastructure - not just reports. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Accounting, IT, and cross‑functional business teams to modernize our financial analytics ecosystem and potentially support the rollout and future maintenance of WoodWing’s next‑generation planning solution.
What You’ll Do
Systems Ownership & Transformation
Act as the systems champion for FP&A across NetSuite, Power BI, and future planning tools.
Support the potential rollout, configuration, and long‑term maintenance of WoodWing’s next planning solution (e.g., Acterys, Datarails, Vena, or similar).
Build and maintain clear data connections from systems such as NetSuite, HubSpot, and Zendesk into reporting and planning environments.
Ensure alignment between NetSuite actuals, forecast data, and Power BI dashboards.
Automations, Integrations & Data Pipelines
Design, develop, and maintain automated data flows ensuring stable, reliable, and accurate refresh cycles.
Build and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines to support forecast updates, month‑end reporting, KPI refreshes, and operational dashboards.
Proactively identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate end‑to‑end FP&A processes.
Data Modelling & BI Development
Build scalable, governed Power BI datasets and data models (star schema, DAX measures, semantic layers).
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards such as:
Monthly P&L and Income Statement
Forecast vs. Actuals & Variance Bridges
ARR/MRR & SaaS KPIs
Free Cash Flow Analysis
Develop documentation, data dictionaries, and process maps to ensure long‑term maintainability.
Governance, Quality & Reliability
Own data integrity across interconnected systems - ensuring numbers reconcile, refresh, and remain trustworthy.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines, dashboards, and integrations.
Ensure compliance with internal processes, system controls, and access management standards.
Business Partnering & Process Support
Ensure the right data is accessible, aligned, and reliable across FP&A processes, including forecasting, planning, and
performance analysis.Partner with global teams to resolve data inconsistencies and improve reporting workflows.
Support process transformation efforts when systems, data flows, or workflows require enhancement.
What Makes This Role Exciting
A key transformational hire shaping how financial information flows throughout WoodWing.
Work in a truly global organization, collaborating with colleagues across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
High level of ownership, autonomy, and influence in system architecture from day one.
Operate at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Technology, driving visible impact across the business.
Gain international exposure while working remotely with leadership based in Amsterdam.
Job requirements
Requirements
2+ years of experience in FP&A, Data Analytics, BI Engineering, or Financial Systems roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).
Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
Experience working with ERP financial data (NetSuite strongly preferred).
English fluency (written and spoken) required for effective communication across global teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills - able to translate technical data for non‑technical audiences.
Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote‑management environment, managing multiple projects with strong ownership and accountability.
Passion for building reliable, automated systems that enable smarter decisions.
Nice to Have
Experience with modern Planning Tools (Acterys, Vena, Datarails, etc.).
Experience working in a SaaS environment, particularly with subscription metrics (ARR/MRR), revenue modeling, or SaaS operational data flows.
Experience with API integrations, data pipelines, or workflow automation tools.

Experience with Agentic AI to automate or enhance FP&A workflows (variance explanations, anomaly detection, narrative generation, scenario analysis).
Our culture and values
Our team is made up of more than 20 nationalities, across offices in the Netherlands, Malaysia, and the US. While we have a mix of people, we have a common goal: to build the future of content production for the world’s leading publishers and brands.
WoodWing is an organization with a history of innovation. Nearly two decades ago, we helped popularize Adobe InDesign with our first plugin. In 2010 we were the first software provider to make it possible to publish on the iPad. And in 2019 we became the preferred partner of Apple for publishing to Apple News+.
Our culture is built around six values - Exploration, Collaboration, Leadership, Fun, Pride, and People at Heart. Our values bring culture to life in our day-to-day behavior. They are carefully selected based on what we have developed over our years as a company, and what we consider important to reach our vision.
